The American magazine "National Interest" said that the recent improvement in relations between Saudi Arabia and Turkey could be a nightmare for Tehran, as it would adversely affect Tehran's regional influence and its interests in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon.
According to a report prepared by investigators Ali Bakir and Ayub Arsoy, the Saudi Crown Prince's visit to Turkey, which preceded his visit to Egypt and Jordan, has aroused great suspicion in Tehran, who saw Muhammad bin Salman's move as part of his anti-Iranian anti-axis activity in the region.
During Erdogan's visit to Saudi Arabia, Iran expressed its dissatisfaction with Ankara's reconciliation process with Riyadh. And many Iranian official, semi-official, and intellectual figures and the media reflected negative views on the normalization between Ankara and Riyadh, noting the potential impact of such an event on Tehran’s influence and regional interests.
In parallel with its anti-Saudi media rhetoric, Tehran representatives have stepped up their efforts to hit Turkish military sites, particularly in northern Iraq.
