Iran’s military command is again threatening Washington as the US moves tankers and commercial vessels through the Oman route while Tehran is focused on preparations for Khamenei’s funeral.
Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Command warned that any American intervention in the Strait of Hormuz would be met with a “decisive and rapid” response by the Iranian armed forces.
The statement also demanded that all oil tankers and commercial ships use only the route designated by Iran for what it called safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran warned that any disobedience, deviation from the designated route, or refusal to follow the Islamic Republic’s navigation protocols would trigger an immediate and forceful response.
Iran also accused US manned and unmanned aircraft of creating insecurity over the strategic waterway and threatening regional security.
