Photographer Shlomo Waldmann writes about the Golden Jackal he captured with his camera:

Every one of us has an impression of the Jackals. On one hand they look like dogs but in my opinion they have something special about them. Dogs don't make me feel the same way, the Golden Jackal is a beautiful animal whereas dogs today are domesticated. 

The Golden Jackal is an anxious animal and runs away as it gets close to humans. 

I was patiently waiting for a beautiful bird and the Jackal appeared. The photographer and his camera froze as it spotted the Jackal. Every move or breath would scare him away.
