BREAKING: Shooting near White House puts U.S. Treasury on lockdown; National Guard soldiers wounded

The U.S. Treasury Building and several nearby federal buildings in Washington, D.C. remain on full lockdown after a shooting just minutes ago near the White House.

According to initial updates, at least two National Guard soldiers stationed in the area were shot and wounded, prompting an immediate large-scale security response.

Law enforcement teams have expanded the security perimeter as they assess whether the attacker acted alone. Emergency medical teams evacuated the wounded Guardsmen, and officials say more information will be released as the situation develops.
