KHARTOUM, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok told a group of political figures and thinkers that he intends to resign within the next hours, two sources close to Hamdok told Reuters.
The group called him to stay in his position but he insisted he would leave, the sources added.
The above-mentioned report comes a few weeks after the chairman of the sovereign council, General 'Abd al-Fatah al-Burhan, reached renewed agreements with Hamdukh and returned him to his post after the military coup.
As you may recall, earlier this week hundreds of thousands of people demonstrated against the new agreement between al-Burhan and Hamdukh and even arrived at the Presidential Palace compound. According to reports in Sudan, two people were killed during clashes with security forces.
