An anti-war conference in Chicago erupted in cheers after Hatem Abudayyeh, national chairman of the US Palestinian Community Network, declared that “the US is losing” in Iran and across several fronts, including Yemen, Gaza and Lebanon.

Abudayyeh portrayed the post-October 2023 upheaval as a global victory for the Palestinian cause and claimed it would contribute to the defeat of American power. He also used a dehumanizing slur against Israeli civilians while claiming that tens of thousands had fled northern Israel.

Additional footage showed participants chanting: “The biggest threat in the world today, Donald Trump and the USA!” The scenes offered another disturbing example of anti-Israel activism openly merging with hostility toward America itself.
