Texas Governor Greg Abbott, joined by Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and TPUSA Director Josh Thifault, announced a statewide initiative to establish Turning Point USA’s Club America chapters in every public high school across Texas.
The program promotes constitutional values, faith, and civic engagement — directly challenging what many parents see as the growing dominance of left-wing ideology in public schools.
Abbott made clear that districts cannot block these conservative student clubs. Any school attempting to stop a TPUSA chapter, he said, will face a Texas Education Agency investigation and possible disciplinary action.
TPUSA, co-founded by the late conservative leader Charlie Kirk, has seen a dramatic surge in interest since Kirk’s assassination at a free-speech event in Utah, a killing that shocked conservatives nationwide. Following his death, TPUSA received 54,000 requests to start new chapters.
