As outgoing German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived in Israel for her final visit, Im Tirtzu activists held a demonstration outside the King David Hotel where she is staying and called on Germany to stop funding radical anti-Israel NGOs.
They also sent Merkel a letter together with the Choosing Life Forum of Bereaved Families, calling on Germany to cease its anti-Israel funding.
Over the past several years, Germany provided NIS 84,204,316 ($26 million) in funding to 34 far-left Israeli NGOs including B'Tselem, Breaking the Silence, and Adalah that work to promote sanctions on Israel, slander Israel, and even protect terrorists in court.
In fact, over 17% of Germany's funding went to organizations that protect terrorists and their families in Israeli courts.
