A Western source for the Saudi Al-Hadath channel: After the fall of Assad and the restrictions on the air route, Hezbollah began using the sea to smuggle weapons.
The source claims that the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards opened a fast route to transfer weapons to Lebanon, away from Syria, and Iran will rely on smuggling via the sea route directly to Lebanon.
According to the report, Units 190 and 700 of the Quds Force are responsible for transferring weapons to Hezbollah in the sea route. Two commanders, Shahriari and Ael Parsat, supervise the transfer of weapons. It was noted that Hezbollah's control of the Beirut seaport facilitates the smuggling of weapons.
It was also reported that Hezbollah operates freely in the Beirut port through a network of collaborators, which is managed by Wafiq Safa, who is responsible for Hezbollah's liaison and coordination unit (his assassination attempt failed in October).
