IDF forces uncovered tunnels, weapons depots and command rooms concealed beneath graves in southern Lebanon.
A Lebanese report says Hezbollah transformed cemeteries in southern Lebanon into military compounds, using graves and tombstones to conceal tunnel entrances, weapons caches and booby-trapped underground positions.
According to the report, Israeli forces recently cleared the cemetery in the Shiite village of Arnoun, near the Beaufort Castle, after discovering Hezbollah infrastructure beneath the site. Similar terrorist facilities have reportedly been uncovered in other villages across southern Lebanon.
In one cemetery, the IDF discovered a tunnel approximately one kilometer long and two meters high. The underground complex reportedly contained command rooms, living quarters, missiles, weapons and equipment prepared for Hezbollah’s planned invasion of northern Israel.
