UK Typhoon fighter jets took to the skies over Estonia to intercept Russian IL-20 and two Su-27 jets near NATO airspace on June 14. UK’s Royal Air Force said the Russian planes were flying close to NATO airspace. The UK Air Force noted that the Russian aircraft did not comply with international regulations.
Ukrainian military has said that its forces achieved some success in the Bakhmut sector. Kyiv said its forces conducted assault operations in the Rozdolivka-Krasnopolivka and Berkhivka-Yahidne and were successful.
Ukraine’s General Staff said its forces repelled all enemy attacks in the vicinity of the city of Mariinka.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has urged his allies to make sure Russia is deprived of components for missile production. He said that dozens of components of the Kalibr missiles, which are being used by Russia to attack Ukraine, were supplied from other countries.
Meanwhile, Australia has said that it is cancelling Russia's lease to build a new embassy in Canberra, citing national security.
