Yesterday, the Houthis in Yemen hinted that they will take new military measures against Israel, beyond what they are doing to date, in order to pressure it to stop the war in the Gaza Strip.ย
The Yemeni news agency "Saba" quoted the Minister of Defense in the Houthi government, General Muhammad al-Atafi, during a visit to the Hodeida region (western Yemen): "Our eyes follow the entity's movements all over the world."
He added that the Houthi leadership "has many options, if the aggression, the siege and the genocide of the Palestinian people continue." He further noted that "Yemen's armed forces imposed a new equation at the regional and world level."
Al-Atafi explained that what the Houthis have done so far was only the beginning of a long series of steps to support Gaza and its people.
He was proud of what he defined as "imposing a Sunday closure on the entity's ports, something that no country dared to do before" and emphasized that the Houthis are ready to suffer a response for this.
