Israeli and Arab sources cited in the report say that Hamas is benefiting from a fresh influx of funds, allowing the terrorist organization to pay its fighters, recruit new operatives, and rebuild parts of its military infrastructure.
At the same time, Israel is reportedly developing military plans aimed at retaking areas of Gaza that remain under Hamas control. This comes amid Hamas’s continued refusal to disarm, a key requirement under the regional plan advanced by Donald Trump, which conditions any long-term arrangement in Gaza on the complete demilitarization of the group.
Israeli officials quoted in the report assess that as long as Hamas continues to rearm and strengthen its forces, another round of fighting is increasingly likely, and any future campaign could be broader and more decisive than previous confrontations.
