The new Prime Minister of Poland, Donald Tusk, who took office only about a week ago, stopped the broadcasts of Poland's state television channel.
He also removed from their positions senior members of the media in Poland. Tusk claims that these media have become biased towards the previous government of Poland.
Tusk, was Prime Minister of Poland in 2007-2014 and served as President of the Council of Europe in 2014-2019, and unlike his predecessor in the position, the right-wing man, Mateusz Morawiecki, he supports close relations between Poland and the European Union and the United States.
The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, says in response to the moves that these are anarchistic and unconstitutional measures.
