Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is advancing an international initiative to protect persecuted Christian communities, while stressing the need to defeat terrorism and confront the battle for Western public opinion.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met on Wednesday in Florida with senior leaders of the evangelical community.
At the opening of the meeting, Netanyahu announced that Israel is promoting cooperation aimed at establishing an international body to assist Christian communities under threat, particularly in Africa and the Middle East.
Netanyahu emphasized that beyond the ongoing military campaign, Israel is also fighting what he described as an “eighth front” — the struggle over public opinion in the West and the defense of the shared Judeo-Christian tradition.
