NEWSRAEL: True or not, Iran remains fixated on one thing — the Mossad. And that works to Israel’s advantage.
Iran is intensifying its campaign against alleged Mossad activity inside the country, with state television reporting Saturday that security forces uncovered a cell of Israeli drone operators accused of plotting to assassinate senior officials.
According to Iranian media, including the IRGC-linked Tasnim agency, eight individuals were arrested in Khorasan province following a months-long intelligence operation. Authorities claim the suspects transmitted coordinates of sensitive military and civilian sites to Mossad during the recent war with Israel, enabling drone strikes that caused heavy damage.
Iranian officials further alleged that the cell members received cyber-based training from Israeli operatives and had planned to carry out assassinations and sabotage operations in Mashhad. Reports also linked the group to cooperation with separatist movements inside Iran.
