Two young men were arrested at the Pennsylvania train station with a knife, a gun and a cartridge with 30 bullets, on suspicion of threatening the community. They were turned over to the FBI for investigation.
One of the suspects is Christopher Brown, a 21-year-old man from Aquabag, a small town on Long Island, who is suspected of terroristic threats, harassment and illegal possession of weapons. An armband with a Nazi symbol as well as a black ski mask were also seized from him.
The second suspect is Matthew Maher, a 22-year-old man from New York City, who is also suspected of weapons offenses. The New York police said that Brown made a series of disturbing statements about an attack on a synagogue in the city, his threats did not specifically list a particular synagogue.
