The Lebanese Hezbollah organization confirmed on Tuesday evening the killing of one of its senior figures, Hassan Ali Badir, in an Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs (al-Dahiyya neighborhood) of Beirut.
Hezbollah paid tribute to Hassan Badir, who was killed in the raid, along with his son Ali, a party member who was with his father inside the house at the time of the attack.
This confirmation came hours after the Israeli army announced Badir's death in an airstrike on the southern suburb, which left four dead and six wounded.
Despite the little information available about him, reports leaked from sources close to Hezbollah indicate that Badir served as deputy director of the Palestinian file in Hezbollah.
