Reports from Iran say an unidentified armed group opened fire on two people traveling by car in the city of Saravan, in southeastern Iran.

According to the Iranian reports, the driver, named Arbabi, an IRGC officer was killed in the shooting. His wife, who was reportedly sitting next to him in the vehicle, was seriously wounded.

Iranian outlets later claimed that the attack was carried out by an armed group supported by Israel and the United States.
