Secretary of State Marco Rubio has invited ministers from more than 60 countries to Washington next week for talks on what the Trump administration describes as the growing threat of transnational far-left terrorism.
The State Department said the meeting, officially titled the Ministerial on the Resurgence of Political Terrorism, is being expanded because of overwhelming international interest.
Officials said additional countries are now being invited, particularly governments working to combat the spread of organized far-left violence across national borders.
The summit reflects the Trump administration’s effort to treat violent far-left networks not merely as isolated domestic movements, but as an international security threat requiring coordinated intelligence, law-enforcement and diplomatic action.
