Following a Facebook post by COGAT (Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories) head Maj. Gen. Ghassan Alian, many Gazans are pleading to leave Gaza, saying they’ve had enough of life under Hamas and the ongoing devastation.
Alian wrote that Hamas leadership is selling out its people. In response, dozens of Gazans replied directly to COGAT’s Facebook page with desperate messages: “We want to emigrate.”
“I want to coordinate an exit from Gaza with my children. That’s enough. We are exhausted,” wrote one commenter. “We want to emigrate—open the way,” added Amir al-Sarsawi. Another, Yasmin al-Sham, pleaded, “I want to leave this country.”
Anwar Zaid wrote emotionally, “Enough! I swear by Allah, we don’t want Hamas. Keep Gaza for yourselves, just get me and my daughter out. I don’t want anything. I'm tired. Get me out of Gaza and I’ll agree to anything.”
Another user, Abu Nasser al-Bassous, declared, “Open a path for us to emigrate and take Gaza.” A woman added, “Open the crossing or get rid of Hamas and let us leave.” One Gazan even tagged COGAT’s page and wrote, “Yo, COGAT—we want to emigrate to Europe.”
Saeed al-Radeh summed up the mood: “Open the crossings, we want to emigrate. Everyone in Gaza is dying from hunger, humiliation, and destruction—while the blood merchants live in luxury hotels. Curse Hamas.”
