One person was killed and four others wounded, including three seriously, in a suspected terrorist attack in the Haifa area in northern Israel on Monday morning, according to Hebrew media reports.

Magen David Adom spokesperson Zaki Heller reported that a 70-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene after being administered medical treatment. In addition, a man and a woman around 30 years old and a 15-year-old boy were seriously wounded and a woman around the age of 70 was in moderate condition. The four were transported to nearby Rambam Hospital for further treatment.

Two terrorists were reportedly shot and killed, with police investigating whether another suspect is still at large.

Witnesses at the scene described a combined shooting and stabbing at the Haifa Bay central bus station on Histadrut Boulevard, according to the reports.

Police forces were converging on the scene.
