At a 40-day memorial event held in Dearborn, Michigan, Islamic scholar Usama Abdulghani praised Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, claiming that after years of jihad against “enemies,” Allah rewarded him with martyrdom.
Speaking at the Hadi Institute on April 11, 2026, Abdulghani said the gathering was not only a time for condolences, but also for congratulations.
He stated that Khamenei had received “the highest honor” and expressed hope that others would be granted the same fate. Abdulghani further praised Khamenei’s leadership, portraying him as a visionary figure whose actions, he claimed, forced both Israel and the US into submission and led them to seek a ceasefire.
