IDF forces in the Southern Command continue engineering operations that include systematic drilling to locate underground bunkers and destroy terrorist infrastructure above and below ground east of the Yellow Line.
During their operation, the Northern Brigade forces and fighters from the Yahalam unit destroyed underground tunnels with a total length of approximately 5 kilometers in the Beit Hanoun area.
In addition, a cache of weapons was located within a route in the area, including observation and surveillance equipment, explosive devices, ammunition, grenades, launchers, rifles, and RPG rockets.
Additionally, earlier today, forces of the Golani Brigade Combat Team operating in the southern Gaza Strip identified a terrorist who crossed the Yellow Line and approached the forces in a manner that posed an immediate threat.
Immediately after identification, the forces eliminated the terrorist to eliminate the threat.
IDF forces in the Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to operate to eliminate any immediate threat.
