Israel’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security and the Tekoma Administration will invest NIS 45 million ($13.5 million) in 2025 to rehabilitate and expand farms near the Gaza border that were heavily damaged in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks.
Of the funds, NIS 30 million ($9 million) will support upgrades to existing farms, including new orchards, greenhouses, and livestock facilities, while NIS 15 million ($4.5 million) will be allocated to new farmers entering the sector. Officials said the initiative aims to restore stability, strengthen the local economy, and secure Israel’s food supply.
Farmers will receive up to half of their investment costs, with additional emphasis on advanced technologies.
