Maher Abu Tir, a Jordanian publicist with connections in the royal palace, published an article in a local newspaper from which it is possible to understand how the kingdom plans to act in the event of an influx of Palestinians from Judea and Samaria in its direction
According to Abu Tir, the authorities in Amman have informed Washington that they will not be able to accept such a reality and will establish buffer zones west of Jordan.
"Jordan has plans ready for engineering and military implementation at any moment, west of the river, on the Palestinian side and near the Jordanian border, to establish security or buffer zones, to prevent the displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank to Jordan, so that they remain within Palestine, and this is if there are Israeli attempts to transfer them from the West Bank to Jordan," he wrote, adding:
"This means that if Jordan is forced to intervene militarily in the face of the threat of displacement of Palestinians from the West Bank to Jordan, so that they remain within Palestine, and this is if there are Israeli attempts to transfer them from the West Bank to Jordan," he wrote, adding:
"This means that if Jordan is forced to intervene militarily in the face of the threat of displacement to establish this zone, it will do so, whatever the outcome with Israel, including war."
