The proposed US-Saudi agreement would permit civilian uranium enrichment while relying on safeguards weaker than those demanded by critics.

The Trump administration has reportedly completed the final text of a nuclear cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia that would allow the kingdom to enrich uranium for a civilian nuclear-energy program. 

President Donald Trump has not yet signed the agreement, and it has not yet been submitted to Congress.
