VIDEO NEWS REPORT: Senate to vote on attacks in Caribbean
The American Senate will vote on a resolution not to allow the Trump administration to attack Venezuelan boats
Several senators announced today a vote regarding a bipartisan resolution on "war powers." The proposal will block U.S. military involvement inside or against Venezuela unless such action is approved by Congress.
This follows reports that U.S. President Donald Trump is considering ground strikes inside the country, although Trump himself recently denied this intention.
In a press statement, Senator Tim Kaine (Democrat from Virginia) noted that President Trump does not have the authority to carry out military strikes inside Venezuela.
