In Pakistan, during Yom Kippur, spirits were in turmoil due to the possibility of normalizing relations with Israel.
It began when the Foreign Minister in the interim government of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani, was asked about this possibility following Foreign Minister Eli Cohen's words in this regard. Jilani did not rule out the things and noted that this will be determined according to the national interest of Pakistan and the Palestinians.
In Pakistan, which relies on financial aid from Saudi Arabia, Jilani's emirate was interpreted as an opening for normalization.
As a result, Pakistani Information Minister Mortada Solangi was forced to issue a clarification today. He emphasized that Pakistan's position of denying relations with Israel has not changed. Solangi emphasized that Pakistan had a principled position against normalization with Israel and it has not changed.
"As long as the Palestinians do not accept their free state and their right to self-determination, recognized by UN resolutions, Pakistan will not abandon its Palestinian brothers," said the Minister of Information.
NEWSRAEL: On the other hand, Pakistan is only alive because of huge funding from Saudi Arabia and if Saudis join the Abraham Accords, Pakistan will have little to say against it.
