NEWSWEEK: An incident between an American warship and Chinese and Russian ships was censored by the US.
The NEWSWEEK reports on a puzzling event censored by the US military, according to which an American warship "encountered" Russian and Chinese warships near the island of Guam, the American military center in the Western Pacific Ocean, but the reference to this was later removed from the network.
The 9,700-ton destroyer USS Rafael Peralta arrived at its home base in Japan a day earlier. The location of the destroyer provided information about the range of joint naval maneuvers by China and Russia, whose ships together sailed more than 4,800 nautical miles.
The warship's official Facebook page states that it conducted a navigation exercise in the South China Sea, held joint exercises with its ally Japan, and defended Guam during a counter Chinese and Russian deployment in the area.
Neither China nor Russia mentioned any location near the island of Guam, which is the westernmost point and territory of the US and is home to three major military bases used by the US Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps.
This was not the first time that the US military encountered Chinese and Russian forces near US territory. Last month the Soviet Junta and the Yellow Dictatorship sent 4 bombers to check the air defense of Alaska within 200 miles of the American coast.
