The boy was not vaccinated and had no known background illnesses. He was first hospitalized in critical condition at Meir Hospital and was transferred to Schneider Children's Medical center.

When his condition deteriorated and he needed an ECMO intensive care machine - he was transferred to intensive care at Schneider, where they were forced to call his death.
