All Iranian state-run and local television broadcasts carried by the Intelsat 39 satellite at 62 degrees east have been suspended. The reason for the interruption remains unclear, as does whether the broadcasts will resume.

Three weeks ago, the channels were also transferred to Thailand’s Thaicom satellite at 78 degrees east. That move reportedly limited their broadcast coverage mainly to Iran and neighboring countries.
