Israel will send special team to Thailand to aid rescue efforts
Prime Minister Netanyahu has instructed the head of the National Security Council to send a delegation of experts to assist Thailand following the earthquake that struck the region, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry and the Defense Ministry.

The delegation will depart for Thailand tonight at 10:30 PM on an El Al flight.
The delegation will be commanded by Col. (retd.) Yossi Pinto, commander of the National Rescue Unit; it will include 21 additional officials.
The delegation will assist in building an intelligence picture for population-based and engineering rescue at the collapsed site, and will operate until the last trapped person is rescued.
