US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee urged Israeli public diplomacy to stop speaking defensively. At a gathering in Jerusalem marking the launch of the book “Let the Stones Speak,” Huckabee said that social media is “destroying minds.”
“The Jewish people have the most amazing story in the world — so tell it,” Huckabee said. “It’s a wonderful story that must be told, and you have the evidence. You have the Bible. For heaven’s sake, use it and tell the story with courage and conviction. Don’t speak apologetically, like: ‘Well, I didn’t want to mention it, but we have some place here’ — no!
Say: ‘Do you know our history goes back 3,800 years, and you can trace it directly until today? There are prophecies throughout the Bible describing things we are seeing with our own eyes.’”
Regarding social media, Huckabee said: “We must use the tools available today. Social networks are destroying the minds of many young people because they get sucked into ignorance through TikTok. It’s very dangerous, and the best way to fight it is to play on the field where the game is happening. I meet too many people who say, ‘I don’t want to go on social media, it’s a disgusting sewer.’
