Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar spoke with Bolivia’s president-elect Rodrigo Paz, congratulating him on his election victory and emphasizing the long-standing historical ties between the two nations and the Jewish people.
Sa’ar said the time has come to restore the good relations that once existed between Israel and Bolivia.
Sa’ar stated that Israel seeks to open a new chapter and fully renew diplomatic relations. President-elect Paz said he intends to reopen Bolivia to the world and renew ties with Israel.
The Israeli minister also announced that Israel will send an official representative to Paz’s upcoming inauguration ceremony, signaling the beginning of a new diplomatic era between the two countries.
