Today's article by CNN alleging Israel is responsible for the killing of  Shireen Abu Akleh relies heavily on claims by "expert" Chris Cobb-Smith. 

For 2 decades  Cobb Smith collaborated with NGOs to advance a venomous anti-Israel agenda.

During the 2009 Gaza conflict, Cobb-Smith worked with Amnesty  to circulate misleading claims about the operation and the IDF. He falsely asserted that the IDF used white phosphorous “in an illegal manner.”

In 2012, Cobb-Smith prepared a “Guide to Field Investigation” for NGO @alhaq_org (later terror-designated). The guide was meant for “researchers who investigate human rights violations committed by Israeli occupying forces in the occupied Palestinian territory.”
