NEWSRAEL: Abbas' own troops are angry. Will we see them change sides and fight against him?
The operation by the Palestinian Authority security forces against armed terrorist groups in the Jenin refugee camp is causing great unrest in the Fatah movement, which is itself the backbone of the PA.
PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is determined to continue the operation until it is completed and the armed terrorists are subdued, despite the anger and harsh criticism on the Palestinian street and calls in Arab countries to stop the operation immediately and open a dialogue between the PA and the Hamas and Islamic Jihad organizations.
According to PA sources, Abbas's directive to the security apparatus is to "remove the Iranian danger that has taken over the city and the Jenin refugee camp," and return the area to full PA control.
