Lebanon has recently received clear and direct messages from Israel warning of severe consequences if Hezbollah intervenes in a potential war between Israel and Iran, according to a Lebanese political source.
The source told the Lebanese newspaper Nidaa al-Watan, which is known for its opposition to Hezbollah, that international envoys who visited Beirut in recent days conveyed Israel’s position to Lebanese decision-makers.
According to the report, the messages included an explicit warning that Israel has already prepared a large-scale and highly destructive military plan should Hezbollah choose to intervene in a conflict that could erupt between Israel and Iran.
The Lebanese source stressed that these warnings were not intended as media intimidation or psychological pressure, but were presented as serious intelligence-based information meant to reach the highest levels of Lebanon’s political leadership and influence their calculations.
