The claim is based on a series of TV segments showing Putin in two places simultaneously. The Russian opposition and pro-Ukraine media have it as proof that Putin uses a "body double".
Putin has long been speculated to use "stand-ins" and in fact, Ukraine's Secret Service has compiled a guide on how to identify the real Putin.
