When it all seemed as though the civilians in Syria who were fed up with the Assad Regime would succeed in throwing it out, the Russians intervened in order to save it.
Since then, the civil war intensified and Syria has become a graveyard.
Here is a Syrian blogger Celine Al-Qassem talking about that intervention:
Russia has used Syria as a testing ground for its deadly weapons, which have killed thousands of innocent Syrians. Eight years since Russia's intervention in Syria to help the criminal Bashar al-Assad with killing Syrian people, these eight years have carried a lot of disappointment for the Syrian people who continue to suffer daily from Russian airstrikes.
Listen to the brave girl, Celine Al-Qassem. This brave girl has never rested for a single day and always strives to convey the voice of the oppressed Syrian people.
The second video which comes from another X tweet:
September 30, 2015 marks the first day of Russian intervention in Syria.
On this day, Russia intervened to protect the criminal Bashar al-Assad from falling, initiating airstrikes on Syrian cities and displacing its inhabitants. Russia killed thousands of Syrians, destroyed nearly 70% of Syria, and displaced over 12 million people, along with decimating Syria's infrastructure.
Since that day to the present, Russia has continued to test its weaponry on the Syrian people. The international community's disregard for Russia's massacres in Syria and failure to hold Russia accountable for its crimes have emboldened Russia to invade Ukraine.
If the international community had taken decisive action to deter Russian aggression against the Syrian people, we might not have witnessed Russia's invasion of Ukraine today.
NEWSRAEL: Not to mention the start of using Syrian refugees as a weapon against Europe!
