LAHAT Alpha, a new laser-guided missile development, allows strikes on enemy targets from a safe distance and homes in on laser designation by ground or air forces.
The system was developed in response to growing global demand for precise missiles: “it reflects the ability to provide solutions for future challenges.”
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) today (Tuesday) unveiled the next generation in the family of laser-guided anti-tank missiles — LAHAT Alpha. The company says the new system was developed to meet rising demand for precise, efficient missiles with an extended operational range of over 20 km.
LAHAT Alpha is designed for stand-off engagement, meaning it can strike valuable targets from a safe distance outside the enemy’s threat envelope, giving forces the ability to hit high-value targets from afar.
