A dear friend of The Genesis Prize Foundation, who was honored earlier this week with the Cecil B. DeMille Award at the Golden Globes.
We were privileged to welcome Helen to Jerusalem in 2016, where she hosted the Genesis Prize ceremony honoring the legendary Itzhak Perlman.
That evening, she spoke movingly about the resilience and enduring spirit of the Jewish people, saying:
“The Jewish people have a heritage of strength and determination that has enabled them to overcome every obstacle. They have persevered despite prejudice, persecution, enslavement and exile. And in doing so, they have not just survived, they have thrived as individuals, as a people and as a nation, with achievements and a spiritual legacy that has changed the world.”
