President Donald Trump is traveling to Michigan on Monday to defend his economic record and highlight his administration’s efforts to rebuild the US automobile industry.

Trump is expected to tour General Motors’ Milford Proving Ground near Detroit and argue that his America First trade policies have protected domestic factories and jobs from unfair foreign competition.
