Chief Rabbis Call for Return and Sacred Burial of Scattered Western Wall Stones
In a meeting on Sunday, the Chief Rabbis of Israel called for the return and proper burial of Western Wall stones scattered across the country.
“The Western Wall stones are not an archaeological or historical exhibit but an inseparable part of the site’s sanctity,” said Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Rabbi of the Western Wall. “As such, they, must be treated appropriately and returned for sacred burial.”
The Chief Rabbinate Council urged the Minister of Religious Services to oversee the process, ensuring the preservation and proper treatment of these stones in accordance with Jewish law.
