Western intelligence sources estimate that Iranian diplomats stationed in Istanbul, as well as the military attache at the embassy, are assisting Iranian terrorist squads. 

About a year ago it was Muhammad Raza Nassarzadeh, a consulate employee, who was arrested on suspicion of providing the suspect with the orders of an assassination plot on a senior Iranian defector, the escape documents back to Iran.
