Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, the second husband of Democratic congresswoman Ilhan Omar, has resurfaced online after years out of the public eye, presenting himself on social media under the nickname “dirty dandy” while documenting a carefree lifestyle in South Africa.

According to reports, Elmi is currently believed to be in Johannesburg, where he has been posting images and videos from universities, upscale venues, and daily activities.

Social media material cited by US media outlets shows Elmi wearing a visitor badge at the University of the Witwatersrand and sharing snapshots from his life abroad. His reappearance has drawn attention because it comes at the same time President Trump has renewed long-standing allegations concerning Omar’s immigration history.
