In recent days, senior Iranian officials have been spreading threats that its response to Israel's attack, which came as a response to their second attack.
So before starting to assess what the third Iranian attack will look like, it is important to understand what the targets of the Israeli attack were.
Analyst websites summarized the targets attacked by Israel as follows:
1. Khojir missile production site near Tehran, where two buildings used to mix solid fuel for ballistic missiles were destroyed (2 to 4 raids)
2. Gadir early warning radar and a base in northern Ahvaz (one to two raids)
3. The "Texas" factory specializing in the production of advanced equipment technology in Shamsabad (one to two raids)
4. Tyco plant in Shamsabad, which manufactures and repairs solid fuel vertical mixers (one to two raids)
5. Shahrood military base, used for missile testing (2 to 4 raids)
6. Talekan 2 buildings in the Parchin military complex, southeast of Tehran, for experiments simulating the start of a nuclear explosion (two to four raids)
7. The reference to 3 S-300 air defense systems owned by Iran (3 raids)
8. Oil storage unit at the refinery in Abadan, the largest Iranian refinery. It seems as if it was empty (it was published that Iran made sure to empty the storage units on the site out of fear, which later turned out to be justified, as a correct assessment).
THE PURPOSE OF THE ISRAELI ATTACKS:
- Early warning radar capabilities of the defense envelope around strategic sites in Iran, using advanced S-300 air defense systems.
- The destruction of the infrastructure for the production of solid fuel mixers for ballistic missiles, which means that Iran will need a whole year to restart the production of new ballistic missiles, and Israel will be able to monitor the import of equipment from another country.
- Damage to the production of Iranian ballistic missile engines and boosters.
- Damage to nuclear bomb test sites.
