Yahya Sinwar’s widow, Samar Abu Zamar, escaped Gaza during the early months of war and fled to Turkey with her children using a fake passport. 

She later remarried there, reportedly aided by senior Hamas leader Fathi Hamad. 

Her escape, part of a covert operation helping Hamas leaders’ families flee, raises major questions about their allegiance to the people of Gaza.
