The battle for the Likud list is intensifying: while Knesset members have already begun the tough primaries struggle, Netanyahu must make a decision on the identities of three candidates who will receive set places in the party list on his behalf.

"Israel Today" has learned that one of the candidates, for whom the decision has apparently already been made, is Brigadier General Gal Hirsch.

According to the tests, Hirsch addresses wider audiences on the right that Netanyahu and other Likud members may find it difficult to reach. Hirsch is also considered a suitable figure for the state campaign that Netanyahu seeks to lead in order to reach the so-called soft right-wing voters.
