NEWSRAEL: Arab experts explain that those who did NOT attend Nasrallah's funeral send Iran a message: "The funeral was also for the iranian rule in Lebanon".
It was noticeable during the funeral of the former Hezbollah Secretary General and his former successor, on Sunday, the lack of extensive official representation, especially from a group of his Lebanese allies who decided that instead of directly participating in the popular funeral, they showed up to offer condolences directly in the a-Dahiyya neighborhood of Beirut over the past two days.
Perhaps the most notable of these are: former President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, head of the Free Patriotic Movement, MP Gebran Bassil, head of the Al-Karama Movement, MP Faisal Karmi, in addition to figures who had good relations with Nasrallah before his assassination, such as Druze leader Walid Jumblatt, and former Prime Minister Najib.
While Aoun and Bassil sent a delegation to represent them, and then returned to express their condolences in Dahiyya, Jumblatt contented himself with offering his condolences and the Progressive Socialist Party did not send any representatives to the funeral. The first rows at the funeral were led by the party’s allies, the head of the Mardah Movement, Suleiman Franjieh, and the head of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Talal Arslan.
